- Position: STEM Project Volunteer
- Program: Discovering Your Passion: A Certified Guide to Co-curricular STEM Projects
- Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (or remote, depending on availability)
- Time Commitment: Flexible hours, approximately 5-10 hours per week
- Duration: 3 to 6 months
Overview:
We are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our exciting STEM project, where you will help guide secondary and higher secondary students in exploring their passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Your role will be to support students as they work on projects, develop ideas, and build prototypes. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in education and gain valuable experience in mentoring and STEM fields.
Responsibilities:
- Explore the STEM field in Bangladesh.
- Find subject matter experts.
- Communicate with educational institutions.
- Help students understand STEM concepts and guide them through their projects.
- Provide advice on research, design, and prototyping.
- Encourage students to think critically and creatively.
- Review students’ project ideas and give constructive feedback.
- Assist students in preparing presentations or reports for their projects.
- Monitor student progress and ensure they meet deadlines.
- Be a supportive and positive role model for students.
Requirements:
- Interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects.
- Willingness to mentor and inspire students.
- Good communication skills and patience.
- Basic knowledge of research and project development (helpful but not required).
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to helping students succeed.
- Previous experience in teaching or mentoring is a plus but not required.
